Mounties came together for Charity Day, a cherished event that celebrates community and generosity, on Friday, February 28th. This year, their efforts raised over $1000 for Pillars of Light and Love, a charity based in Trappe, Philadelphia, showcasing the remarkable power of giving.

Pillars of Light and Love is a non-profit focused on helping youth and adults by empowering them, through offering programs that build up and support individuals.

“I was in complete awe of the Sweet Madeline senior singers and I could feel the unity of the grade, and honestly the entire school as they sang,” Elizabeth Vasquez ’25 said.

“The hosts reflected the fun of Charity Day, but they seemed to be having a little too much fun,” Parker Leaming ’26 said.

“Every note he sang was on point, and it kept getting better till the end” Rachel Delp ’25 said.

“It was really entertaining and hilarious to see how they portrayed the Rio birds,” Kayleigh Costello ’26 said.

“Being able to perform was even more fun than I thought it would be, and the crowd gave me an extra boost of energy which helped me enjoy myself,” Katie Westmoreland ’25 said.

Overall, this year’s Charity Day was more than just a celebration—it was a representation of the sisterhood that exists at the Mount. Seeing performances from both students and faculty brought the school together in unity.
