The Firebirds’ 2025-2026 year robot stands proudly in the wings, waiting to compete against many other teams and their robots. It had been designed and brought to life by the robotics students and teacher volunteers during the off season in the summer. The team sacrificed their sweet summer days to make their robot the perfect machine for competitions. This year, robotics teams aimed to create a robot that could carry and launch pvc pipes onto metal racks to win points. Speed, maneuverability, and accuracy are the name of the game in competition.
“I’m the lead Robotics mentor at the Mount. GirlPOWER is really important to me because I’ve seen over the years how much of a difference it makes in our community both here in our school and then also on other teams that we compete with. I’m really proud of all the hard work that goes into making GirlPOWER happen” Ms. Hannah Farrell '11 said.
