Mrs. Kelly Keane Owens may be a new face to Mount’s administration, but she is certainly no stranger to its hallways. Mrs. Owens, a graduate of the class of 2004, is returning to Mount as the Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving.

After graduating from Saint Joseph’s University with a degree in marketing, she first took a corporate job, but knew she wanted something more.  Mrs. Owens worked at both Bishop McDevitt and Gwynedd Mercy Academy before seizing the opportunity to return to Mount.

“I always knew I wanted to come back to a school setting… coming back to the Mount [is] really like coming home,” she said.

In her new position, Mrs. Owens primarily fundraises for the school. In addition to that,  she also works with the alumnae board in planning events and engaging activities to keep young women involved in the school.  Acknowledging the unprecedented time we are living in, she knows many events will have to be reworked to fit the guidelines of the current pandemic.

Despite the restrictions on interactions this year, Mrs. Owens hopes to collaborate with as many students as she can.

“I would love to have interactions with the students and get to know what it is like to be a Mountie now.”
