The new Social Media and Digital Coordinator, Ms. McGee, is looking forward to using her prior experience to showcase the students and faculty here at Mount.

After graduating from La Salle University in 2019, McGee interned at QVC in the social media department. Additionally, just before working here, she was a paid social coordinator at David’s Bridal, giving her the opportunity to work on video content, help schedule day to day postings, and create instagram stories.

A typical day of work in her new position can range from having content she needs to post on social channels, to interviewing a student about a club or activity they are involved with, to updating the website. When asked about what she is most excited for in her new position, McGee said she wants to feature “how an education here can really prepare young girls for the future.”

Despite the added challenges of entering into a new community during COVID-19, McGee has found “both faculty and students to be very welcoming.” The most challenging part has been, “learning the different types of technology I am using, working with the different platforms, and getting to know the community as a whole,” said McGee.

McGee is bringing fresh ideas to the social media side of Mount and is “excited to help the mount grow socially!”
