The newly opened Magic Shoppe, affectionately dubbed “Ma-Wa,” has captivated students with its innovative drink and dessert options, though some, like Reagan Clouser ’27, have expressed concerns over its pricing. The shop, which aims to alleviate cafeteria congestion, is quickly becoming a popular spot on campus.

“It is laid back and chill, and the students really seem to enjoy it,” said Kris Geraci, Culinart Customer Service Specialist. After starting at the Mount just last year, Kris has become a beloved staff member of the new Magic Shoppe.
“I think “Ma-Wa” is a great addition because it is convenient to access during and after school. There is much more space for people to be in there because the cafeteria and the cafe can be used at the same time,” Ava Smith ‘26 said.
The new Magic Shoppe, or “Ma-Wa” as many are calling it, allows students to purchase food and beverages, including coffee and fruit smoothies, from an easily accessible location in the school. “It’s easier so that we don’t have to go to Starbucks everyday” Emma Watson ‘27 said.
The $40 Faux-Stanley mugs have gained increasing popularity among students and faculty alike, with the new signature item becoming a highlight of the Magic Shoppe. “I think it’s a great way to market to the students. They’re super cute,” Gracie Balkowski ‘26 said.
