Mae Slaughter, the Assistant to the Dean of Students and Student Life Coordinator, for the past year and a half is a universally loved faculty member amongst all students. When Ms. Slaughter isn’t working on the Mount you can find her spending free time cooking , making pinterests boards, doing self care, hanging out with friends and going on girl trips. Traveling is a thing she loves to do and Jamaica is one of her favorite destinations. She loves to watch “Dreamgirls” with Beyoncé and enjoys watching “Law and Order SVU”
A person’s aura is only a testament to who they want to be perceived as and showing positive traits is what Ms.Slaughter is known for. Her smile is infectious and she always has the best outfits.
“ She’s beautiful inside and out.” Said Elizabeth Vasquez’ 25 A person who is beautiful inside and out takes on poise and alluring emoting a sense of security to all students and faculty.
“Every student feels so welcomed around her. She is amazing, I love her sense of style, her office is so aesthetic. She’s just that girl and she’s so sweet. I love how she always has candy.” said Chloe Murphy ‘25
Unwinding at night, you can find her Pinterest, doing a skin care routine to look her best. Sweets are her weakness and she indulges in a strawberry Bundt cake from Nothing but Bundt cakes or eating blueberries from Trader Joe’s. As for drinks she loves lemonade and can be found singing. She has one sister named Desiree who is 31. Positivity is a key role in Ms. Slaughter life making open to learning. She always takes things with positivity and says that life is an evolution and adapt’s to her plan’s. Her positive manner shines throughout.

Music is a staple in her everyday life recently listening to Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, Mariah the scientist and Beyoncé. Beyoncé is her favorite artist as she has seen Beyoncé in concert three times.Ms. Slaughter is constantly busy working on projects for events throughout the school year. She feels fulfilled in life when helping students, other people and family members. Her aura reminds students of a disney princess.

Someone who is personable is able to connect with all types of people without any heastiantion creating a lively and professional environment .Ms. Slaughter is one of the kindest people ever with a soft voice and caring heart to touch everyone’s soul near and dear to their heart’s.
