The Mount’s 2024 fashion show dazzled on November 21st, as senior models took to the runway at Presidential Caterers in Norristown PA, showcasing bold and personal fashion statements. With a record-breaking attendance of 430 guests, the event was a celebration of creativity and individuality, highlighting unique styles and the vibrant energy of the senior class.
Energy and excitement filled the room as the model’s catwalked the runway. Dramatic music played as each model graced the runway with bold experimentation from their outfits.
Models were able to pick their own personal outfit from Bloomingdales to showcase individuality in their fashion sense due to connections with a personal shopper.
Fashion pieces worn by the models included business attire, y2k, fur coats, leather jackets, dresses, mini skirts, chunky boots, black outfits, hats, and other accessories. Each model was a living canvas embodying their own visions through poise and self confidence.
Many models felt nervous, but excited for what was to come. Within the room there was a huge feverishness on how the models were received. Family and friends happily took pictures of their perspective models.
“I feel really nervous, but I think it’s really fun, and it’s a fun way to have the senior class do something funky, new, while also having a partnership with Bloomingdales. I just think it’s a fun, unique idea that no other school really does, but I’m really nervous and I’m scared I’m gonna fall,” Juliet Murphy ‘25 said.
“I’m nervous but the energy is really high in the dressing room, so I think I’m gonna kill it,” Abby Willams ’25 said.
While some models were nervous others took the runway by storm, walking flawlessly, feeling like they were born for it. Having confidence, Kaelyn McFadden ‘25 was able to captivate the audience with her seamless strides down the runway.
“I was born for this, I was always meant to model and nothing can stop me from getting on the runway right now,” Kaelyn McFadden ‘25 said.
The fashion show featured a white winter wonderland theme. The night included raffles, cocktails, dinner, and dessert, creating a seamless, fairytale-like experience.
The seniors participating in the fashion show felt a sisterly bond with fellow senior participants. Sisterhood is vital to life as you need someone who is there for you and vulnerable enough partaking in your personal corner.
The mind, body and soul revolve around fashion as it is a part of everyday life. Everyone is their own muse. The models felt satisfied about their outfits and how the night went. The 2024 Mount fashion show was a successful event and everyone was so happy to be there.
