Cashier by day, AI Data Annotator by night, meet Mount’s real life Batman, Kris. When he’s not working the Ma-Wa with an iron fist, he annotates and examines data for AI models.

Growing up in Long Island, New York, Kris moved to Pennsylvania when he was 24. As a teenager, he attended Riverhead High School in New York.

”Probably the most memorable story I have from my childhood is when I met Lindsay Lohan’s dad,” Kris said, “I had to tie my shoe, and I had no idea who he was until my older sister told me after it all had happened.”

Easy going and carefree, if Kris’ life was a movie, he would title it “Go With The Flow”. Continuing with this theme, Kris enjoys reggae music by Damien Marley for its “chill vibes”. He also values honesty and loyalty in life, and enjoys having his hair down and relaxing.Employed by CulinArt, Kris began working at the Mount in 2023.  He is well known as the cashier working in Ma-Wa, but many people don’t know that he actually works on the side as an AI data annotator.

AI data annotators typically examine data, text, and more. Although he is busy, Kris never fails to be a polite and positive person to everyone who walks into Ma-Wa, or even people he sees in the halls.

”Kris is nice and polite,” says sophomore Mia Dezzi.

While Kris is popular at the Mount, his coworkers also love him. He even has a work best-friend, Rob.

“I’d say I interact with him the most. I’ve known him the longest since I have been working here.” Kris said.

People think very highly of Kris, including Ms. Beren. Sheaf  said, “Kris is awesome! Super helpful whenever I sit and chat with him.”

Overall, Kris is thought highly of, and is very much loved and respected at the Mount, and we are lucky to have such a “king” working in our school everyday.
