Joined together to partake in a cherished tradition, the Mount Saint Joseph Academy Class of 2026 fostered a sense of community and belonging, on March 27, 2025. This ceremony represents the unity and sisterhood as juniors approach their senior year.
Student Life Program Coordinator, Ms. Mae Slaughter, was in attendance at the Ring Mass and shared her thoughts.
“It can be a little bit stressful, but I definitely think the overall experience seeing everyone enjoy it outweighs it for sure,” Ms. Slaughter said.

Students and their families gathered in the auditorium for mass, where they received their rings, followed by a celebration filled with food, taking pictures, and making new memories.
“After receiving my ring I was super excited and it was really fun to take pictures after the mass,” Ally Mancini ‘26 said.
“The gym was decorated so beautifully and I loved all of the purple and gold streamers. They look so nice in the background of all my pictures,” Jenna Miller ‘26 said.

Making this night so special, previous alumni were in attendance to see new generations of Mounties, including their own daughters, carrying on the same traditions they once did years ago.
The energy in the room sparked powerful emotions among students, creating a night of unforgettable sisterhood.
“It made me emotional, I felt so connected to my sisters the whole night,” Avery Lasky ‘26 said.
The night was filled with moments that brought the Mount community closer together, both past and present.
“I felt like it bonded us, and hearing Ms. West, who is an alumni, felt very connecting,” Beyan Behmke ‘26 said.

The night was especially meaningful for many students who had anticipated this tradition since the start of their Mount journey. Receiving the class ring marked a milestone moment, one that had been years in the making and symbolized the bond shared by the class.
“I’ve been looking forward to this since freshman year, so the mass was really nice and reflective,” Kristen Savage ‘26 said.
“You’re waiting for your ring for three years and then it’s finally happening and it’s a super cool moment,” Maddie Kelly ‘26 said.
Beyond the ceremony, the night served as a rare moment of unity for the entire class, bringing everyone together in a way that hadn’t happened in years.
“Its our first time doing something as as class since freshman year, and it was crazy to think that now we are going to be seniors,” Ani Garcia ‘26 said.
The anticipation that filled the auditorium after being handed the ring box was excitedly overwhelming as girls waited to open to box and find their customized bling.

Mounties got to customize and choose their own styles making this moment personal and sentimental. “I thought that the purple gave a Mount vibe and stood out because it’s our colors. Mine is a darker purple which makes it feel more traditional which I love,” Sally Reilly ‘26 said.
