Always have a trusted buddy: Never go anywhere alone and stay with your friends at all times. Travel in groups or pairs to stay safe. It helps to have a code word with your buddy to use if you feel like you are in an uncomfortable situation.
“I think that we should always walk around with a friend because you never want to be alone as it can be dangerous for girls. Me and my friends have a code word that we made up just incase of an emergency!” Delaney Wertz ‘25 said.
Take Breaks When Needed: Senior Week means long days, especially when spending them out in the sun. Your body will need a break every now and then, it doesn’t hurt to have time to regroup and fuel your body with what it needs. After a quick break, you can go back to enjoying the fun!
Stay Hydrated/ keep your body fueled: You will be out in the sun for hours and you will need to stay hydrated to enjoy your time! Try liquid IV’s or Gatorade, and most importantly WATER. Also remember to eat nutritious food throughout the week to give you energy!
“I’m going to suggest for myself and all of my friends to drink lots of water because it can get really hot and we are going to be busy for the entire week and need to stay hydrated” Lila Forti ‘25 said.
Charge Your Phone: Any Chance you are near a charger plug your phone in. If you aren’t near an outlet and know you’re going to be out all day, invest in a portable charger. They can be life savers in cases of emergency!
Call, Don’t Stall: If a person is unresponsive don’t brush it off, at the end of the day it’s better to call emergency services for help. Someone’s life could be in your hands! A helpful reminder is that you won’t get in trouble if you call emergency services for help.
