Mount Saint Joseph Academy hosted its first-ever career day, welcoming alumnae back to campus to speak with students about their professional journeys; among the speakers were four graduates who now work for the Philadelphia Eagles in different roles and career stages.
The panel focused on how confidence, networking, and relationships built during high school can continue to influence success long after leaving the Mount.
The alumnae shared their experiences working in the highly competitive and male-dominated sports industry. Each speaker described a unique path to the organization, but empathized that persistence and communication skills were key to their success.
Despite different job titles and graduation years, they highlighted a shared foundation built during their time at Mount.
“…looking back and being at Mount. I didn’t realize how much the service to the dear neighbor probably came into play.” Tina D’Orazio ’94 said.
A reoccurring theme throughout the discussion was confidence.
Several speakers described entering meetings where they are often the only woman in the room, but still feeling prepared to contribute.
They credited much of their confidence to their education and experiences at Mount Saint Joseph Academy, where they learned to speak up and advocate for themselves.
“I think the ability to build relationships with people is something that I learned from Mount. Your work ethic and things like that is something that I think you can take not only to college but jobs and just life in general,” Kristen “Kiki” Saraceni ’13 said.
During the question-and-answer session, students engaged directly with the panelist, asking about career paths, challenges, and advice for the future.
The speakers encouraged students to take advantage of opportunities to build relationships and remain open to different career possibilities.
One of the most empathized messages was the importance of networking and maintaining relationships.
“Every girl in this room, whether you know it or not, will somehow, someway come back into your life. This is your initial step in networking,” Kaylee Dougherty ‘21 said.

The speakers repeatedly reinforced that connections made now can have lasting impacts in the future.
The event also included moments of celebration, including student engagement and giveaways, which added energy to the experience. Gifts such as Kendra Scott necklaces created excitement among students.
Overall, career day highlighted not only professional opportunities, but also the lasting influence of Mount education.
