“Futura Florential”, designed by Philadelphia Horticultural Society, is the entrance garden of the Philadelphia Flower Show. Its name, coming from Latin roots, with futurus meaning “the future” and florens meaning “blooming”, signifies the flourishing of the future and all of the possibilities that it holds. The flowers and water give the scene a sense of life while still being particularly and thoughtfully arranged. This signifies to the viewer that the thought we put into caring for the world around us can play into the creation of a more beautiful future.

Kaelyn McFadden is a current senior at the Mount and has been on The Campanile for the past three years. This year, she is excited to work with the team as Co-Editor-in-Chief. She also hosts the “Magic Mic Podcast” and various videos for the site. Outside of school you can find her reading, listening to music, and studying along with running clubs such as being President of the Taylor Swift Club, Vice President of Handbells, and is a Senior Retreat Leader. If she could only listen one album for the rest of her life it would be “Red (Taylor’s Version)”.
