Its name, coming from Latin roots, with futurus meaning “the future” and florens meaning “blooming”, signifies the flourishing of the future and all of the possibilities that it holds. The flowers and water give the scene a sense of life while still being particularly and thoughtfully arranged. This signifies to the viewer that the thought we put into caring for the world around us can play into the creation of a more beautiful future.

Ramsey Tabor is a senior at the Mount and a Co-Editor in Chief. She enjoys working on opinion articles and using her writing to create change. Outside of The Campanile, she is a rower on the MSJA Crew Team and a Co-President of Mock Trial. She is also a member of the Mount’s orchestra and jazz band groups. In her free time she enjoys binge watching her favorite TV shows for the 10th time and playing Dungeons and Dragons. If she could instantly master any skill she would learn how to fly a plane.
