The highly anticipated MET Gala of 2024 was held last night, feeding fashion lovers everywhere, including those here at the Mount. This year’s dress code was “Garden of Time.”  Students gave their opinions on their favorite looks of the evening.

Tyla is wearing a sand-like Balmain gown, accompanied by a Balmain hourglass-shaped bag.

“Tyla’s was definitely my favorite. How is this her first MET Gala? I loved the sand on her shoulder, that was a cool touch. She looked amazing.” Said Olivia Donato ‘24.

Kendall Jenner stepped into the MET Gala in a never before worn archival Alexander McQueen/Givenchy couture collection look from 1999.

“Kendall Jenner’s was great. Not my top favorite of the night, but it was up there. She looked really cool.” Said Lola Figueroa-Clark ‘24.

Zendaya arrived wearing Maison Margiela. The “Challengers” star took the MET Gala by storm (like she has every other year) in the whimsical gown.

“She looked very cool and different. I love it so much.” Said Grace Fullmer ‘24.

Businesswoman Mona Patel turned heads in a custom Iris Van Herpen look.

“It’s not even a question. She had the best look. Like, are you kidding? She stole the show.” Said Gianna Piroso ‘24.

Amelia Gray wore Jun Takahashi. The 22 year old model’s dress was unique and eccentric— yet it encapsulated the theme perfectly.

Last but not least, Eiza González looked fabulous wearing a Del Core gown.  She resembled a fairy flying around the “Garden of Life” in the underrated look.
