When the bell rings, dismissing many students into the hallway, Arianna Phoenix waves to anyone she can see. She makes it her own personal goal to put a smile on as many people’s faces as possible.
“Anytime I’m walking with her in the hallway, there’s always someone she’s saying ‘hi’ to,” Gianna Howe ‘27 said. “I remember when she would have shadows, she’d always be really good at including them.”
Arianna is a junior at Mount Saint Joseph Academy, where she strives academically and socially.
Whether she’s going to concerts, hanging out with friends, or watching her favorite shows, Arianna will always be one of the most social people at The Mount.
Out of the many friends Arianna has, all had wonderful things to say about her.
“She’s very extroverted and bubbly,” Eleanor Brokenshire ‘27 said.
“I’ve never seen her not complimenting people, and she’s kind and makes everyone smile,” Silvia Cosgrove ‘27 said.
Arianna enjoys reading and writing, often shown in her contributions to The Mount’s Newspaper — The Campanile.
Published in December 2025, Arianna wrote a psychological article titled, “Medicine Meets Media: The TikTok Doctor Controversy”. In the article, Arianna goes in depth about social media’s effect on professions, getting insights from doctors and teachers.
Though Arianna is passionate about her work, she knows she does not want to be an author after high school, rather she wants to work in the business industry.
“I’ve always been attracted to the corporate world, and starting my own business,” Phoenix ‘27 said.
But Arianna isn’t just focused on her time after high school. She makes it a point to be in the now. This allows her teachers to recognize her hard work and dedication for her academics.

“As a student in Spanish class, she is very diligent and she has really good language skills,” Señora Bornancini, a Spanish teacher, said. “She works really well with the other people in her class, and is able to support other students because of her really good language skills.”
Outside of school and The Campanile, she enjoys expanding her musical horizons. She attends concerts like Malcolm Todd, Billie Eilish, Kali Uchis and Conan Gray, showing her melodic nature and adaptive personality.
“One thing you may not know is she did the musical freshman year,” Howe ‘27 said.
“Arianna really represents sisterhood at The Mount because of her inclusivity,” Cosgrove ‘27 said.
And just like her attitude in the crowded hallway, and no matter where she ends up, Arianna Phoenix will keep making her mark, one smile at a time.
