Brie Fay ‘26 drives into the Mount parking lot after an early morning of getting her three younger sisters ready for school, finishing up homework, and making breakfast.
Brie gives students insight on how to manage school and social life to succeed as she continues her academic career at Vanderbilt University.

Like many students, Brie Fay manages her demanding schedule at Mount Saint Joseph Academy.
Brie manages athletics, leadership roles, academics, and time with family and friends. Brie says balance comes from being disciplined while also taking time to reset.
Inside Mount Saint Joseph Academy, Brie is involved in the Travis Manion club, Retreat Team, and the Varsity Volleyball team.
Her involvement in everything she does reflects her dedication to the Mount.
“Being involved in so many clubs gives me the opportunity to meet classmates and learn concepts that you wouldn’t learn in class,” Fay said.
Outside of school, Brie loves painting, drawing, watching movies, going to the beach, and spending quality time with friends and family. These hobbies give her a chance to take a break and recharge from school and activities.
What helps me when I get really stressed out is taking a second to myself and letting go about the worries and stress school, sports, and activities put on me. I think it’s very important to take time for yourself,” Fay said.
These hobbies outside of school help her reset and stay grounded.
Brie’s motivation and hard work does not go unnoticed.
“Brie is someone who puts their heart and soul into everything she does, whether that’s studying for a final exam or watching film for the team’s next opponent.” Joey Fay said.

Brie also still makes time for those around her when dealing with high academic demands, valuing her close relationships with her friends and family.
“Brie and I love to go shopping and get lunch after. We love to take our younger sisters to the playground. We enjoy spending our summers down in Avalon, NJ with all of our cousins,” sister Michaela Fay ‘29 said.
“I love spending time with her and she always makes me laugh. I am so proud of all the hard work she has done to get to where she is today,” Kaitlyn Cockerham ‘26 said.
With those lessons in place and a strong support system behind her, Brie is excited to begin her next chapter in life.
Looking into the future, Brie will be attending Vanderbilt University in the fall of 2026. She plans to study Biology on a pre-med track. Brie intends to challenge herself academically while staying involved in campus activities.
“The Mount has taught me time management, staying disciplined, and always keeping a positive mindset. These strategies that I have learned throughout high school are something that I will carry with me throughout my future,” Brie said.
