Need a last-minute sitter before soccer practice or singing lessons? The Mountie Babysitting Network has you covered!
“I used to struggle with finding babysitters for my girls when they were younger until I joined this network and easily could find Mounties who were flexible and reliable that I knew I could trust with my girls,” Kate Comuso ‘96 said.
The Mountie Babysitting Network is a Facebook group where Mount alumnae can connect with Mount students who are available to babysit.
It’s an effective way for both families and students to build a supportive community while staying safe and connected.
“I joined this network because I needed a job, but now I actually look forward to babysitting and getting to know past Mounties and their families,” babysitter Erin Romano ‘27 said.
This network helps strengthen connection across generations of Mounties. While students gain experience and learn responsibility, parents are met with peace of mind knowing their children are in good hands.
“My mom only ever hired Mounties to babysit me and my brother both as a way of giving back to the Mount and because she knew they could be trusted,” Brooke Donohue ‘27 said.
The group also serves as a way to share advice, tips, and scheduling help. Parents can post requests, and students can respond directly, making communication both easy and quick.
Whether you’re looking for a date-night sitter or full time nanny the Mountie Babysitting Network is the place to go. Not only is it a useful source, but most importantly, it carries on the Mount legacy and keeps Mount spirit alive.
